I covered numbers a little more in depth in my blog The Significance of Numbers . So, for this one I just want to talk about a particular dream that I actually had, and one I am still in the process of waiting on a complete interpretation from the LORD. A few nights ago I had a dream that a person I am acquainted with (one we will call “Max” for the samke of making this post easier, and one who is known to be financially comfortable) was at an event and realized that they didn’t have enough money. So, Max began to announce out loud that he needed to borrow $125.00 from someone – anyone. Well, my husband (who doesn’t really connect well with this person) pulls out the money as if it isn’t a big deal and gives it to them. I’m a little astonished in the dream because to me $125 is a big deal; however, Max assures us he will pay it back, and then he asks for our bank information so that he can go the next day and deposit the money directly into our account. Of course, we give it to him (which is something I wouldn’t have done in the natural), and the next day I show up at the bank to check on the money (I’m a naturally skeptical person). I remember walking in, and it looked absolutely beautiful in the bank. Everything was glowing a bright, shimmery gold, and I walked up to the teller to find out my balance. She demands to know what my password is, and I remember that it was really long and complicated and very reminiscent of an old familiar poem which I had written down on a sheet of paper (but I had forgotten it by the time I got up). Once I had access, I noticed that a huge sum had been deposited. Instead of the regular $125.00, this person had put $4,000.00 in the bank. I called “Max” and his wife and demanded to know what was going on. He simply said, “I saw that you had a big bill, and we wanted to help you out.” When I woke up, I was a little confused. I couldn’t think of anything major that needed to be paid, and I knew that it would be very unlikely that “Max” would need money. I began to ask the LORD what could this actually mean since Max and his wife aren’t someone we normally talk to much or see very often.
In the process of waiting, I realized that 4000 and 125 are some pretty significant numbers.
125 means Multitudes of Holy Angels; surrounding protection; joyful release; Life to the forgiven. “When the Lord brought back captives to Zion, we were like men who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter…” (Psalm 126:1-2).
4000 means worldwide harvest; to rule and reign in the Earth; and also, remember the 4000 that Jesus fed. In mark 8, he feeds the multitude because they are hungry and weary. He took 7 loaves and a few fish and fed them all. The disciples took up 7 full baskets of fragments. In essence, 4000 were fed with a large miracle. So, one could perceive 4000 as a multitude of miracles, multiplication of something small according to our faith. Why would it be according to our faith. If you only look at Mark 6:30-44, a few chapters earlier, Jesus had the disciples to feed 5000 people. They used 5 loaves and 2 fish, and once they were all full they took up 12 baskets of fragments. So, why is the next miracle in chapter 8 smaller? Perhaps the disciples were being shown that they exhibit small faith. How could they have forgotten the previous miracle. Even Jesus says, after asking them in 8: 18-21, “Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember?” He is prompting them to reflect upon the miracle. He says, “When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take up?’ They said to Him, ‘Twelve.’ Also, when I broke the seven for the four thousand, how many large baskets full of fragments did you take up?’ and they said ‘Seven.’ So He said to them, ‘How is it you do not understand?'” Wow! Look at the great admonishment He is giving them, and doesn’t it make you wonder if He was reminding them, gently, that by not showing greater faith then the fragments of what remained was much smaller in proportion to the amount of fish that was multiplied?
In that sense, maybe the Lord was reminding me that I need to increase my faith for more than what I have been believing. We gave 125 and got back 4000. Now, I’m a terrible mathematician, but on my calculator it showed that this is a 32% increase.
32 means Covenant, and the covenant reveals the heart of the Father. The number, in Hebrew is written with the letters lamed (authority) and beth (house or household). Hebrew formed by these two letters is leb which means heart, or another one is lebab which means the heart of the father.
Cool Side NOTE on 32:
32nd time the name Noah appears in the Bible it says, “Then God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying, Now behold, I Myself do establish My covenant with you, and with your descendants after you.”
32nd time Abram appears in the Bible it is the Blessing of Melchizedek, and it says,
For this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.”
32nd time Isaac’s name is used it is the story of how Esau despised his birthright and sold it to Jacob for a bowl of soup. Of course, this has to do with the Father’s covenant blessing (the covenant of Abraham and Isaac).
32nd time Jacob’s name appears it is when he pours oil on the rock and makes a powerful covenant with God.
The list goes on and on; however, in my dream (I’ve gone off on some rabbit trails), I feel like, what I know so far, that the Lord is reminding me to not be doubting, fearful, or of little faith. He is encouraging me to believe for bigger, for more! Why do I behave so often like the doubting disciples. They saw things that I have never seen as far as miracles and walking in the flesh with our beautiful Savior, and yet I know He is able, capable, and more than enough to meet all my needs. I believe that this dream is a reminder for me, and even for you that are reading, that our God is bigger, better, and more than able to fix any and every situation we come up against. He is surrounding us with HIS Holy Angels, and He is more than ready to fill our mouths and hearts with laughter. Sometimes; however, it requires us extending our faith into something we don’t understand. It causes us to let go of something that seems really big or significant in order to allow HIM to do a mighty work and increase. It might require us to “invest” something of our own heart into the situation.
What will the increase be??
I believe that the answer is up to us? What can we truly believe him for? Are you willing to allow HIM to multiply your faith today? To believe for more than you ever dared to dream or hope for? I am ready for mighty miracles and great multiplication in every area of my life. Lord, multiply dreams, hopes, finances, salvations, influence, favor, faith . . . .(you add your own to this list and pray it fervently and out loud!). I pray that you have been so blessed through the holidays so far. Keep dreaming and believing for great things to come. Remember what the Word tells us – there is nothing too hard for my God. Blessings and love to you all.
