First blog post

Welcome to Dreams and Night Visions! I am so excited to be blogging and sharing with you the spirit of the Lord and the intense and often disregarded study of dreams and visions. I began this blog over a year ago with the sole intention of writing fiction; however, after a year of sitting, non-existent, I decided to listen to the Lord a little closer and find out what He desired this blog to be about. After much prayer, and of course searching the Word, I discovered that the knowledge was inside of me all along. Dreams are my passion. I have studied, discerned, interpreted, and spent the last fifteen years delving into the depths of this illusive and still somewhat unknown avenue in which God chooses to speak to His children. I have experienced many dreams of direction, warning, intercession, and the list goes on and on. I think sharing my own experiences is a great way to teach others that dreams are not always just something that happens to our mind while in REM sleep mode. The Lord is desperately seeking those who seek His face. What if, at times, our minds become so busy, so bogged down with everyday life, that we miss hearing that still small voice? What if you are one of the millions of people who need to be taught through parables in order to learn the lesson (I see this as visual learning). Jesus taught in parables a lot because he wanted the people to see in their mind and make the comparison in order to learn and grow. My goal with this blog is to share some of my knowledge gleaned during the past fifteen years, expound deeper on symbolism, help others discover the secrets being poured out by the King, and shift your mindset into the mode where you begin to pay more attention to those nighttime visitations.  My hope is that this blog will inspire you and touch your heart, encourage you, educate and fascinate you, but most of all leave you with a feeling of hope and of peace in the midst of a world which is often dark, chaotic and stressful. Be blessed and enjoy the journey. Oh, and keep dreaming!
